Geometric Shift

I was a little nervous about making this dress. My concern was that the print, colour, fabrics, shapes would not work together. It is a fine balance between neat busy and just a complete mess. I am happy I went with it though, as I am loving the outcome!!!

In the past month.....

WoW!!! August has been a busy month.

In the last 30 days I have travelled to Tassie to see some cool art, done a photo shoot with the lovely Shannon from finesse and the talented Mr William Nolan. Cruised up to the Sunshine State for some amazing times with great friends and somewhere in all this finished a garment or two.

cape shirt!!!!!

sounds like something designed for a super hero

This cape shirt is garment no. 1

Its a slow process. Working with sheer fabrics means precise and exact sewing and constructing. Very cool seeing it all come together!!!

Habits

over the past weeks Harling designs have been developing and changing.

I have this habit of changing from one thing to another and then back again. The more I create the more I want to expand what Im doing, change it, make it better. In the past weeks I have found myself going back to some of my original ideas...... making changes and so forth.

As there are only 8 weeks until these garments make their debut down the catwalk this is not really a good habit!!!

here is where im at......
